It took a long time for the transaction to exchange money. Turns out he was gathering his small denomination and torn bills which he unloaded on me. I would not use them again when there are so many other choices on Jln Penang where the people are more honest. Don’t trust this sneak.

I wanted to get my money back and go elsewhere. His rate turns out was also not as good as the the busy exchanger about 3 doors further to the south.

Reply: The above is an honest review. I exchanged Malaysian Ringett for $2400 US dollars in January 2025 at your dump. You gave me your old tattered bills. Within the next two weeks, I exchanged money 3 more times just down the from you. I will never exchange money there again and hope others read this review. I got great service and nice bills at MSKM Mohamed Hanniffa.

First i came to know the rate, the stuff told me it was 265MYR but they out of stock n tell me to came back at 12 o’Clock. Before I went back i had called them first to know The rate was changed or not. The staf Said the rate was the same exactly like the morning though. And tell me to came at 13.00. Finally i came n the staf Said the rate change to 257MYR. Really disappointed, i hv gone my grab fee for nothing huhfff

Funny money changer, open in Saturday ,but can not get exchange the RM from USD . Than operate exchange for what currency?

The owner kindly explained me what kind of railway was just in front of the money exchange shop, which was cargo railway to carry tin from British factory in the mountain to the port. He also gave me good exchange rate between USD and MYR.

I was on a desperate hunt for a money exchange near Penang downtown. When I went to the shop around 11PM, it was already closed (but their opening hours online says 12AM) so I panicked a little bit. Luckily, the restaurant staff nearby helped me contact the owner of the money exchange and met me behind their shop.

I’m thankful for the people who helped me along the way and also to the owner who still took time to provide their service. I got a good exchange rate and the money after all.

The only money changer that is open till 12am in Penang . Im delighted with the excellent customer service from Mr Rahim . Highly recommended.

came here due to the good reviews. Staff was indeed friendly but was greatly disappointed. Rate was not that good. I got a better deal back at the airport - way better deal, like 100 MYR difference 😖

Rate is nice,but staff is really bad,spoken to the person on the phone,pretty arrogant and not helpful 😅😅 promise us that there is stock over the phone,but on arrival no stock 😅 hope can improve and standardize the system
