Went to the Beach Republic for swimming. It is acceptable to swim in the pool but it doesn't have crystal clear water. Generally, it's a good place..just needs to be fixed in many ways. Cleanliness is maintained by the staff and they are nice.

We stopped at Beach Republic to look at the sea and use the toilet. It's a club house with a burger joint and some facilities such as a swimming pool and gym room.

We didn't use the facilities and we didn't eat there, so can't comment on those aspects. But we enjoyed the view.

Some areas look a bit run-down, but still recommended to stop for a look if passing by.

They repainted the basketball court but one one rim has good net. One rim has torn net so i assumed some bball groups played here often until the net is torn.
However the drain behind the small grandstand is not covered. Some balls will rebounded and go into the wet.
drain. Hope they can cover it with grating.
Update:
In September 2025, i revisit the place. The basketball court was gone, no more basketball. Now they change it to gay tennis = pickleball courts (2 courts).
RM25 per hour per court and RM 15 rental for the paddle

I recently returned from the Philippines and joined Beach Republic Gym last month. The environment is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are always friendly.

Today, something truly heartwarming happened — I accidentally left my phone in the gym. I was very worried, but to my relief, Ms. Annys, one of the staff, had found it and kept it safely for me. She returned it with such kindness and honesty.

I’m genuinely touched by the integrity and professionalism shown. Beach Republic is not only one of the best gyms in Miri — it's also one of the most secure and trustworthy. Highly recommended!
