It was an absolute honor to get my NAUI open water certification right here, at the first diving centre on Tioman island!! The owner and instructor Reeno has been diving since 1998 and is full of basic, theoretical and practical knowledge (such as the optimum timing for certain sites for visibility and to avoid heavy traffic, and the directions of underwater currents at the dive site, etc.). Most importantly, on top of all the basic contingency skills we learnt, I truly felt like our lives were in safe hands with Reeno and his very attentive team (shoutout to Wan!!) on all our dives. We had eyes on us always and all the equipment was maintained in tiptop condition.
See below for all the epic marine wildlife that made an appearance!!! Black tipped reef sharks, turtles, a cuttlefish amidst many others.

Out of the dives, loveliest Akemi provides the most delicious snacks and teh Tarik to warm up. The dive shop is also strategically located right next to Barbara resort which is perfect for optimizing efficiency!!!

Recently, I get the chance to dive with this shop though recommation from a friend.

1. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

2. The guide was professional and knows the dive sites very well.

3. The owners are nice, very experienced however aged.

4. Safety is a great

Overall my experience with them was great. The owner Reno has a great deal of experience and he & his guides knows the site inside out.

Do note that this is a shop ran by a old retired couple. They offer a great deal of experience and professionalism. But it is not your typical 6 stars experience and customer service.

Budget friendly, great dive experience & professional guide is what you are looking for, I'll highly recommend.

Pro tip: Look out for Snacks after dive...

I had my first scuba diving experience and Open Water Diver course in Tioman Reef Divers and they’re absolutely amazing.

My instructor Reeno Chew were very experienced and you can feel secured during the whole learning process. He also will give proper advise to every students according to their conditions.

Their equipment were well maintained and organized well so every divers can enjoy their dive trip without any worries.

Whenever you’re taking courses or fun dive packages in TRD, you can feel the warm hospitality from Akemi which she treated us more like friends rather than customers.

And also the scenery were totally great !👍🏻

Ich habe mit Reno 6 Tauchgänge gemacht. Reno organisiert alles, technisch einwandfrei, alles sehr gut gewesen.
Die Spots waren auch gut. Es gab sehr viele Haie und Schildkröten zu sehen, sowie viele andere Fische und natürlich entsprechende Korallen.
Die Tauchbasis ist sehr zu empfehlen, ich würde hier immer wieder herkommen wollten.

Great diving experience
I was staying next door and wanted to do some diving even though I hadn't dived for a long time. They were very accommodating and fitted me in even though they were very busy. I did a quick refresher with Reno and then did a morning boat dive which was truly spectacular. A great experience thank you

We did two dives today with Tioman Reed Divers. While the dive sites themselves were beautiful, our overall experience was unfortunately marred by a serious lack of professionalism and safety from the guide assigned to us.

➡️ There was no safety briefing before the first dive, very little communication both on the surface and underwater, and most importantly, no real attention given to the group. During the first dive, I had to repeat multiple times that I was running low on air. It was only on the fourth time (with 20 bars left) that he finally reacted — which is extremely concerning for a diver’s safety.

➡️ The guide seemed far more focused on taking pictures of marine life than on guiding the group or explaining the dive site.

➡️ Back at the dive center, we shared our concerns with the receptionist, who was understanding and receptive. However, the guide became aggressive, defensive, and completely unwilling to take any feedback, claiming his 30 years of experience without making the slightest effort to understand our point of view or acknowledge any issue.

We’ve dived in many places around the world with various clubs, and this was the first time we felt unsafe. That is simply not acceptable in an activity that relies so heavily on trust and safety.

We don’t usually leave negative reviews, but the guide’s attitude afterward completely ruined the experience for us. We feel it’s important to warn other divers. A dive center has a responsibility to ensure both safety and open communication, especially when constructive feedback is being shared.

Świetna baza nurkowa! Przesympatyczni ludzie, bardzo życzliwi, pomocni, cierpliwi. Cały dzień nurkowania dla dwóch osób to około 150 euro. W tym napoje i coś na słodko do zjedzenia.
Wrażenia niezapomniane: delfiny, rekiny i fajny wrak.
